RENEWABLE ENERGY

Following the adoption of ‘passive’ design principles, on and off-site renewable energy generation can provide a reduction in expected carbon dioxide emissions, while minimising any adverse impacts on biodiversity and air quality. Renewable technologies such as the following should be explored for adoption; heat pumps (GSHP, ASHP, WSHP), low-temperature (5th generation) district heating, solar photovoltaics (PV’s), solar thermal solutions.
