Wallpaper* Magazine features Gbolade Design Studio’s recently completed Net Positive Passive House for an ambitious and purpose-driven client in Hertfordshire.
Co-Founder & Director, Lanre Gbolade, shared the practice’s approach to delivering Three Rivers Passive House; a contemporary multi-generational new home set in a suburban valley landscape in south-west Hertfordshire.
The new two storey, 5005 sq.ft 5-bedroom dwelling is centred around a south-facing courtyard, replaces an existing bungalow and is constructed using offsite manufactured, low-carbon, healthy materials and renewable technologies to deliver a truly high-performance, low operational energy home. With a fabric-first passive house design approach, the home goes beyond net-Zero, and is Net-Positive (generates more power than it consumes).
